Mint floral skirt

Blouse: H & M, Purse: Ardene, Skirt: D-Tox,
Shoes: thrifted, tank top: Zellers, Necklace:a gift but I think it was from Icing
Hey everyone! Today was a relaxing day filled with pasta, sprite in wine glasses ( fancy eh? ), and watching the telly. Oh and getting free ice-cream from Marble Slab. I love getting free coupons in my email for my birthday. I've been pretty broke lately since I don't start my job until July so I've been trying to plan dates that are cheap or free that are still fun. This weekend I am going camping and then heading off to see my sister in Toronto! I am excited to see her and go to markets and take pictures and go through random shops there. Every time I visit I always have a splendid time :) . I hope everyone has a great weekend ,I am now off to bed and then for a early morning bike ride :)

Birthday Dinner!

Purse: H &M , Shirt: H &M, Shorts: Sirens, Shoes: Zellers, Ring: a present!

Hi guys! so Mike and I went headed out downtown for dinner today for a late birthday dinner ( my birthday was on the Saturday). Since I am now legal I was able to order my first alcoholic drink at a restaurant. I ordered the lovely raspberry drink that tasted so amazing! After dinner we went for a stroll downtown but it was so insanely hot and my feet were killing me so we headed back haha. I straightened my hair for the occasion which I am not sure why because it was so humid but surprisingly it did not frizz. I have been hiding my one eyebrow with my bangs because a couple weeks ago I was using an electric razor and somehow thought it would be a good idea to do my eyebrows. I am such a dork and shaved the middle a bit too far so that my one eyebrow seemed further apart. I laughed about it because it s something that I would totally do because I am such a klutz. Any who, it is pretty much back to normal so I can finally show off my eyebrows haha.

recent style obsession:  yellow and peter pan collars! I simply can not get enough :) .

Hey everyone! The long weekend treated me well! I went up to my cottage and got a bit of a burn ooppps :P I spent my time there reading on the beach and eating haha. Every time I went outside though I swear I got a bite. Mosquitoes for some reason love me and if there is one mosquito around sure enough I will be the one to get a bite !To make matters worse I got a bite on top of my sunburn. Oh well, that is what summer is all about I guess haha. This week was pretty busy and I have been planning my birthday get together or shin dig as I like to call it. I am pretty excited because I will finally be legal and I can' think of a  better way to celebrate it with...cake? I also plan to have campfire which will be nice because I love summer nights with campfires. Any who I hope my birthday goes well and that I don't get any more bites!

Side note: I just wanted to point out that my outfits are super cheap! For example this skirt cost me a whopping five dollars and the most expensive item are my shoes which were 25. :)

A Cold Spring Day

Jacket: Thrifted, Pants: Forever 21, Shoes: Zellers, Purse: Spring, Shirt: Forever 21, Necklace: Forever 21

Hey everyone! Today was a great day because I won a necklace from a contest I entered at http://www.loveelycia.com/ blog! Its from http://www.etsy.com/shop/lottalosten . She creates the most gorgeous necklaces and I am so excited to get mine :) I ended up choosing the necklace Pendant-Flower in Champagne and Salmon Pink. Winning this definitely brightened my cold spring day :). Today I decided to go colourful in hopes that the sun would come out....it kind of worked? haha . I spent the day being lazy and made pasta with Mike. It was too cold to take photos outside so we pretty much stayed inside all day :). I hope everyone's day was splendid!

Laundry Dress

dress: Dress 911, flats: Ardene, purse: Urban Planet, belt: forever 21, ring: gift

Hey! I have been so busy lately enjoying summer and trying not to go on the computer too much so I haven't really posted an outfit post in a bit! The other day I went to a thrift sale at this one church downtown London and I was able to stuff anything I could into a bag for 2 dollars! I stuffed it with tons of sweaters and blouses which I hope to post in the coming weeks right here on this blog :). Today Mike came over and we took some photos down the street from my house at this cute little pond. One old man drove by and stopped his car to talk to us. It was a little strange since he told his whole life story to us all at once and didn't even introduce himself but he was kind. Anyways, it was a really gorgeous day and the warm weather allowed me to wear this beautiful dress from Dress911. They have the most amazing dresses here and I wish I had more money to buy them. This dress was supposed to be for my birthday but I just could not resist wearing it today. I love the cute print and it is so unique.

Collared Heart Dress ♥

I usually try not to go into places like The Bay where I know all the clothes will be super expensive, and as a student I simply won't be able to afford them. One day however, I went into the bay because I was getting my makeup done for a dance ( since they do makeup for free if you buy a product and I had to buy face wash anyways). I was a little bit early for my appointment so I looked around the bay in the material girl section and Vero Moda section. I saw this dress in the Vero Moda section and I loved it instantly. I tried it on and really wanted to buy it but then I looked at the price tag and lets just say it was way out of my price range..or maybe I'm just cheap? Either way I left the store that day without the dress. A few weeks passed and I was looking online for it just to look at it again and it was on sale! I went back to the bay and tried it on again just to make sure and then purchased it. Most of my posts on here are clothes that are on sale or just cheap themselves from thrift stores or places like forever 21 etc. I never really understood the point of brands on my clothes. Why would I want a shirt with a big label or writing across it? It just doesn't make sense to me.Also, why would I pay so much money for a purse or watch when I can get a similar one for so much cheaper?I know that quality is a big issue as well, but most places that are expensive are not the greatest quality either for what you're paying. That's just my opinion anyway :). Anyways, the picture below is of me in front of a bar my dad built for my sisters stag and doe. It is very nautical themed so maybe when I wear my nautical outfit I will take a picture in front of it again. The necklace I am wearing was given to me by my dear friend Tamara when she came back from Italy.  I hope all of you are having a snazzy Monday.

Red bow dress

I took these photos yesterday on a walk through the forest. It was a beautiful day and in my opinion perfect weather, not too hot and not too cold :). I wore this polka dot hat even though it kept falling off my head in the wind  haha. It was a day filled of sunshine, photos, nature, and a lovely homemade pasta dinner. I had a hard time accessorizing this dress because I thought that black accessories would be too harsh with this dress. I finally gathered up some nice accessories that I thought would look good.I love how the blue and white accessories compliment the dress along with an old watch I found at Value Village.I also painted my nails a light blue and added hearts using a nail pen. Overall, it was a really great day! I love summer.

Sunflower Dress

Dress: Thrifted, Belt: Thrifted,
Shoes: Spring. Purse:Thrifted
Today was so muggy and hot out so I took some photos inside to escape the heat. I am still not used to it being summer for me and having four months of summer! I have been planning and re-organizing my life and making a summer bucket list with my friend to make sure that we get the most out of these four months. The list is full of concerts, day-trips, and finding good antique and vintage places to shop( If you have any for me , please recommend!).This dress I felt was perfect for a hot day like today and I had been looking for a sunflower dress forever and finally came across one. I hope everyone is enjoying the weather and has a nice relaxing Friday and weekend! :)

Crazy for Cats

Sweater: H & M, Blouse: Forever 21, Shorts: H & M,
Necklace: Bizou, Shoes: Zellers, Purse: Thrifted
It turned out to be sunny day which caused my eyes to be very squinty in all the photos, but out of all of the pictures this one was the best since my eyes were less squinty haha. When shopping last night at Value Village, I was so happy because I found this cat purse. I knew I had to buy it instantly being a cat lover myself. I also thought it would be funny to pair that purse in an outfit with a bird cage necklace which is exactly what I did.I am also a little addicted to the colour mint and wanted to incorporate that into the outfit as well.

Adventures Downtown

Hello, I'm Robyn and this is my first blog post! I'm from the forest city ( hence my blog name) which is otherwise known as London, Ontario. I have taken an interest in fashion for a couple years now and recently thought of starting this blog after seeing other blogs that were fashion related. I especially love vintage fashion and trying to get the best deal anywhere I go since I am a student at Western ( a university here in London) and most of my money goes to school. I love exploring downtown London and finding different shops I can go into, and that is exactly what I did today :). It was a fairly nice day today so I was able to wear and a skirt which I  was excited about.

Blouse: Thrifted, Skirt: Forever 21,
 Shoes: Thrifted, Purse: Thrifted

I went into a lot of shops but had no luck in finding aything. I did however, stop by Convent Garden Market and bought a burek. If you are ever in the London area you must try one they are delicious and very addictive ! I also got Mike, my boyfriend, to take these shots for me around downtown and one of them is me in front of a purple metal tree which is just one of the various coloured metal trees downtown, which are yes tacky but at the same time funny. All in all, it was a great day. More outfits to come to this blog!
