Camping Time!

Well I am going camping early tomorrow and I thought I would show a quick outfit post. I was planning on a big update but my sister came to visit from Toronto and I have been busy packing for the trip! These photos were taken just the other day and I wanted to get an outfit post with my new hat! I found out that my dad has such a similar hat so it's quite funny but I love it all the same.I hope you enjoy the photos :)!

Nuit Blanche

I am a little late to talk about my weekend however I am going to because It was such a great time and frankly I have nothing much else to write about ( I know I am quite boring ;) ). This weekend Mike and I went to Springbank park ( for those who don't know its a big park in London, ON). We went for a picnic and sat a long the river and ate strawberries, grapes, and sandwiches mmmm! After we ate, we took some photos along the river and went for a really nice walk. I love days where I can be lazy and eat and go for small strolls around parks. This day was followed by an evening downtown at Nuit Blanche festival. It was a really fun festival. They blocked off the streets and had tons of art performances along the street as well as an art gallery you could walk into. I loved this festival because I did not have to spend a dime. I also got free popcorn and whenever there is popcorn I am in (definitely my favourite snack food)!. The art was very nice and so were the performances. Some of them though were also strange haha. One band played their instruments along with people blacksmithing. Very interesting if I don't say so my self.

Kitty Cat Dress

The other day I went into the Dress 911 store and there were so many dresses I wanted. I won a gift card from there and I wasn't sure what dress I wanted to use it on. When I saw this dress I knew it would be the one I wanted and when I tried it on it I felt even more confident about my decision. The cat print is just so cute and unique and the back of this dress is nice too. This will be the last purchase for quite awhile since I am trying to not spend anymore money on clothes and save for both school and camping at the end of June with my friends. I have a lot of shirts that I thrifted that don't fit right so  would like to alter them and cut the sleeves off of them to make them more suitable for me to wear. I also want to make myself a peter pan collar and found a  DIYproject for it that looks simple ( the DIY is quite old but I really liked the scalloped look of this one). I don't really know how to use a sewing machine but I will go up and visit my nana who will be able to help me and teach me of course. I think it will be a challenge to not buy anymore clothes besides the odd thrifted purchase but I think it will be for the best and will help me make more use out of what I already have. Yesterday I spent most of the day in the hospital because my Dad had hip surgery in the morning.The surgery went very well but it was a long wait in the waiting room. I went up to visit him today too and today I got to see what I will be doing in three years. It was kind of intimidating to see the nurses rushing around and being very busy. It makes me worried for my future but I know it is what I want to do as much as it scares me! After getting home from the hospital, Mike and I ate some nachos and watched Storage Wars. It is actually quite an addicting show as strange as it is. There was a marathon all night so we pretty much settled in for the night. Today I did some shopping and bought a cute cat printed dress from Dress 911. I love it and I can't wait to show you guys on my next post! The necklace I am wearing in this photo is the necklace I won! It came all the way from Sweden and it is from Lotta Losten etsy shop. She has some amazing unique jewelry. I love this necklace and I can see me wearing it with just about everything I own. I can bend the pedals to make it an open or closed flower and the jewel inside is gorgeous. I am also in love with this new top because a) has a peter pan collar and b) is mint and has polka dots. It is easily one of my favourite shirts in my closet. Well I hope everyone has a nice day! I am off to go swimming in my friends pool and perhaps find something else to do on this gorgeous day!

Hey everyone! I was in Toronto for a couple days with my sister and had such a great time! We went for walks and talked and went for manicures and pedicures! It was my first time ever getting one and it felt amazing. I did not want to get off the massage chair haha.  We also went to some vintage shops and looked around. There were so many clothes in them and it was so fun to look at them, but I did not end up buying anything. We also went to a market that had some amazing food ( I got a cheese pie) and sat in a park with my sister and her friends. For dinner, we had butter chicken! We went to this really good Indian food restaurant and whenever I go to Toronto we always go there for their butter chicken. So amazing! When I got back into London, Mike came over and we hung out for a bit. I also had CPR because every year I have to renew it for nursing. That just about sums up the last couple of days :)
