Polka dot shorts...not the 90s kid tv show ;)

Shorts: Urban behaviour, Shoes: thrifted,
Shirt: Walmart, Necklace: gift, sunglasses: Forever 21

This outfit was quite cheap, which I love. There is nothing quite like getting a whole outfit for say under 30 dollars. The shirt was 14, shorts were 5, shoes were 6, necklace was a gift, and sunglasses were a 1.50. I wore this outfit to the home county folk festival. It is a festival with folk music, food and vendors selling very pretty ( and expensive!) art and jewelry. It was a fun time and for once I was able to listen to the performances ( lately when Mike and I go to festivals we don't stay too long because it has been so hot out and we don't want to waste money on drinks). This time we were smart and brought drinks with us :). The shoes that I wore are my most comfortable pair I own which makes them perfect for festivals. I call them my granny shoes :). Since summer is going very quickly I decided to make a list of things I wanted to do before it ends. It includes:
-have campfire with mike ( done once)
-rooftop screening of a movie at citiplaza
( roof top screening?! so excited. If you are in the london area check it out!)
-drive-in ( done 2X)
-blueberry picking
-beach (done 3X)
-ride bike more often!
-casino slots!
-beer festival
-paint pictures with mike and then swap them :)
-go out for breakfast

What is on your bucket list for summer?

Postcards from Italy

Dress: H&M, Shirt: Wal-mart, Shoes: Spring, Necklace: the one I won!
I am off to see a concert with my friend Tamara tomorrow! We are going to see Beirut. Although I have not been listening for them too long, I do quite enjoy their music and the concert will be so fun:).
These photos were taken when Mike and I had a beach day! We had fun jumping waves and because I am too scared to go deep in the water we stayed close to shore but the waves were still fairly big! My hair got really dry from the water and thus looks fairly messy in these pics, but I did get around to dying it! It isn't that noticeable but I did get rid of my roots and in the light it has a reddish colour to it :) After the beach we were tired and since it was a hot day we opted to take pictures inside where the a/c was! Well I hope everyone is having a nice week so far :)

The not so distant future

Dress: Dress 911, Necklace: the patch

With course selection for school coming up, I can't help but feel overwhelmed. Second year of nursing is apparently the hardest and I am so nervous just thinking about it. I get to take one elective and the one I wanted to take is a full so now I have to choose another and it looks like I don't have to many options. I feel so unmotivated to even think about school let alone pick my courses and get all the requirements for school. I feel like everything is moving so fast around me and I am just standing still. I also feel like I always waste my summer and I try to jam pack it with things to do. It's funny because sometimes I feel like I have wasted my summer but then I look back and in reality I did a lot. I hope I can look back on
this summer and feel the same way.

These pictures were taken after work. I forgot to bring shoes that would match this dress so I went barefoot while taking the photos. I love the colour of the dress and the sailboat print is just so cute. Looking at these photos reminds me of how badly I have to dye my hair. The roots are coming in and I really want to go a strawberry blonde and then get my bangs cut for fall. I want to get it dyed professionally but it costs a lot of moola! Perhaps I will wait until I get paid or maybe buy the ten dollar hair dye if I am desperate. Anyways I am off to a family barbecue! I hope everyone had a relaxing weekend!
I was getting really fed up trying to pry my eyes
open since I didn't have sunglasses
and this is was resulted afterwards haha

Sunfest!

Purse: H&M, Dress: Urban Behaviour, Sandals: A gift from my nana

This dress is a bit different from what I would usually would wear but I love it. I was looking for a dress that was short in the front but long in the back for quite some time but none of them seemed to fit right until I came across this one. The tribal print is a bit different for me since most of my dresses are either black and white or pastel or floral or a tiny cute print. I loved standing outside my comfort zone in this dress. I wore this dress to the yearly Sunfest in London. Its a festival full of dance, culture, food, and random jewelry an clothes stands. I like this festival the best out of all the London festivals because its quite unique . The other festivals in London all have the same booths but with a different name. Mike and I enjoyed our time there but due to the weather being incredibly hot and humid we didn't stay all that long which sucks because I wanted to see some of the performances. We did stay long enough however to share a jumbo blue raspberry lemonade and look at all the booths. To escape the heat we found an air conditioned mall that was all closed down ( not sure why it was closed it was a Saturday). We sat in there and found a vent and literally sat in front of it for twenty minutes to cool ourselves down. After leaving downtown, we went back to my house for a nice swim. All in all, it was a great day!

Oh and since I haven't posted since leaving for camping I will fill you in with that. Camping was so fun. Whenever I hang out with my best friends we always have crazy stories and adventures to tell. One being that when we were driving home from a bar ( I was the DD) there was a bear in the middle of the road! I had to slam on the breaks and the bear just kept on going. It was so scary!Another story was that my friend Carmen and I were put in a canoe together and we were both pretty inexperienced and we started off fine but on the way back when it came to getting out and docking it,we went over the rope that separated where we were supposed to go and a waterfall. I got so freaked out that we were heading for a waterfall ( even though it was fairly small) that I jumped out of the canoe and got soaking wet and tried to steer the canoe towards the guy who was docking it . It was quite embarrassing! Any who to make a long story short it was a great week and I hope to do it again sometime soon! Well I am off to maybe go to Sunfest again and swim. Hope everyone has a lovely day!
